Places to go with your dog this weekend (5 -6 Sep 2015)

If you’re wondering what to do with your dog this weekend, you’re in luck. There are so many events happening this weekend that I felt it was crucial to put all information in one post for easy reference.

1. PETAS Pet Show 2015
Date: 4 – 6 September
Time: 4 Sept: 10am – 9pm, 5 Sept: 9am – 9pm, 6 Sept: 8am – 7pm
Where: D’Marquee, Downtown East (1 Pasir Ris Close)

This is probably the biggest (or longest running) pet event this weekend, packed with activities such as free vet consultations, informative pet seminars, wholesale pet merchandise booths (YAY!), dog/bird/fish/small animal competitions, magic shows, face painting, balloon sculpting, airbrush tattoos, and games for pets and owners. Sounds like a great event to bring your entire family to together with your furkids!

According to Annalisa and Peanut, who went for the first day today, there was an agility competition where they were overwhelmed by the number of smart border collies, and two interesting products – Aee K9 Probiotics (which makes Peanut’s fur really soft) and Rose Hip supplement which is supposedly good for both humans and dogs alike (there’s a different version for each). She also mentioned that Downtown East itself isn’t very dog friendly except for the event space, so you might need to drop your dog closer to the entrance.

2. Isetan’s The Pet Carnival 2015
Date: 5 September
Time: 11am – 5pm
Where: Shaw House Urban Plaza (350 Orchard Road)

Isetan is organising its first ever Pet Carnival tomorrow! There will be a Dog Fashion Parade (only if you registered) and grooming services! We even heard that there will be a a gourmet food demonstration! Think of the all yummy food you can eat!
You might need to RSVP for this event, supposedly by 4 September, 5pm to

3. Singapore Dog Hash – DASH #164
Date: 5 September
Time: 4.30pm (Registration)
Where: Unofficial Road off Kheam Hock Road (Not far from Bukit Brown Cemetery Entrance)

On the first Saturday of every month since 2002, an out-of-the-box human-dog bonding experience happens at some of the most undisturbed parts of Singapore. The dog hash allows you to connect with your furry friend in a group run across the lush greenery of Singapore’s forests. We’re very excited to bring Polar to experience our very first dash. We’ll definitely blog about this next.

4. SMU Animal Day
Date: 6 September
Time: 12pm – 5pm
Where: SMU Campus Green (70 Stamford Road)

Priding itself as city campus, SMU is opening up its campus greens to the public with their Animal Day. Join them for an adoption drive, live band, food & drinks, contests, participate in lucky draws, and get a goodie bag!

5. Singapore’s Largest Dog Obedience Training Lesson
Date: 6 September
Time: 3pm
Where: Downtown East (1 Pasir Ris Close)
Fees: $10/dog
11917488_955633151144402_3907938378187146117_n If you haven’t brought your dog for obedience training and not sure what it’s all about, you should check this training session out. It not only lets you experience what obedience training is all about, all proceeds will also go to charity.

6. Uncaged (I promise. For Life.)
Date: 6 September
Time: 8am – 7pm
Where: Bishan Park, Activity Lawn 1 (Along Bishan Road and Ang Mo Kio Ave 1)

Jointly organised by S Factor and Team Pawsible, a fun event with local band Scarlet Avenue to bring you lots of singing and dancing. There’ll also be pet booths and photo booths. Biggest highlight will be the attempt to break the Singapore record for the largest handprint art in the formation of a paw.

We hope everyone has a blast this weekend!
Until next time, stay curious!
