Thailand, the land of smiles. To me, it is the land of creativity. Think of all the funny tear jerking advertisements that you’ve seen from Thailand. In Bangkok for work and I had some free time so I visited the famed hipster night market – Artbox.
In the midst of this Instagram worthy market, filled with local designers and great food, I chanced upon this talented artist – LoopOfArt (Piyapong Sirimongkol) who was drawing portraits of humans and animals. I liked his artworks and asked if he would be able to draw Polar and Luna, and showed him some photos.
We discussed on which photos would be nice to draw and agreed on this one:
He told me he’ll need one hour and started work on it immediately.

One hour later, viola!
If you’re interested to get your dog’s portrait (or your own) drawn, check him out on Instagram! He ships overseas.
I paid 450 baht in total – 300 baht for the drawing and topped up an additional 150 baht for the wooden frame. That comes up to be about $18 SGD.
Best buy of the trip.
Until next time, stay curious!
